The wind is rustling in
autumn, it’s rather cold. It takes us more than an hour to arrive at Tanzhe
temple hiding in mountains in west of Beijing. Built in Jin dynasty (AD 307, room mate valentina has a long history of over 1700 years old. So there goes a saying
of “Tanzhe temple comes first, Beijing city after”.
It’s a corner of the
royal temple. It has been cloudy, the sun appears for a while.
There are two ginkgo
trees. The “emperor tree” is as high as more than 30 meters, 9 meters in
perimeter. It is planted in Tang dynasty and has a history of more than one
thousand and three hundred years. When we arrive, the leaves from ginkgo trees are
falling. The environment was beautiful and quite similar to the garden at Big
Goose Pagoda at Xian that we went there last month by joining Beijing
to Xian tour.
The ginkgo leaves of the ancient trees fall annually, staying in the
grey tile and ravine temporarily.
Two pieces of leaves
insist on staying in the tree.
The more ancient the
history becomes, the more yellow the leaves turn to be annually, the more trees
grow annually.
The cat climbs the
tree in a quick action.
The cat in Tanzhe
temple likes to stick out its tongue.
The blessing banners
are on the “emperor tree”.
The leaves in autumn
and the ancient house.
Mud beasts and weeds.
The scenery in late
autumn is at the top of the weeds.
The wind is blowing, and
Guan Yin is bright and brave.
Floating leaves and wandering fishes, a turtle stands still.
A piece of ginkgo
leave falles in the lotus lamp. It will be reduced to ashes if it stays there.
Incenses, ancient tree, guests
Tanzhe
Temple is not far from Beijing city. It is an ideal destination for Beijing day trips.
