Jinshanling Great Wall

We drive cars to Jinshanling Great Wall in one and half hour on the first day of Dragon Boat Festival. We arrive at Maid Bun Shanzhai at 1:30 pm.

We eat tomatoes and cucumbers at hotel imperial reforma. And only two of us want to go ahead since it’s too hot and we are so tired.

Located about eight kilometers (five miles) southeast of the Bakeshiying Township in Luanping County in Hebei Province, the Jinshanling Great Wall is the best preserved part of the Great Wall with many original features. It starts from the Wangjinglou Tower in the east and ends at Longyukou in the west and stretches about 10 kilometers (six miles). If you want to visit Great Wall, then you may join Beijing airport to great wall tour, this is the easiest way to have closer touch with the Great Wall.

 

Although there is no life of the bricks in Great Wall, there is inheritance of life. I put the bird’s nest back carefully.

Featuring various structures and having various functions, those watchtowers are either one tiered or two-tiered. On the first floor there are some windows for shooting arrows. The roofs of the towers are many and varied, flat, arched, quadrangular or octagonal. Some are used to store weapons and hay. Others are used as soldiers' bedrooms. Among them, the most celebrated are the Big and Small Jinshan Watchtowers. There is a wide selection of great wall tours and hotels as hotel royal pedregal which allows you to choose from.
